Photographs Help

I remember what people look by a photograph I've seen of a person. I shut my eyes and can conjure up a photograph image of a relative or a friend but I can't hold an image in my mind of that person apart from the photograph. Any one else or is it just me??

Hey Denitta, thank you for sharing. There seems to be a difference between static images, and dynamic images. It could be that your visual imagery is stronger for static images. Dynamic includes movement, or motor imagery.

i can store, access, and retrieve two dimensional images that i’ve looked at: photographs and paintings, but i cannot store and retrieve an image of a three dimensional human face, like that of m wife ……

That feels the same for me I think. When I think of a relative, I think of a photo I’ve seen of them. Even then it’s not really “visual” in the sense of seeing it as a picture in my head exactly. I can usually just glimpse for a short time some aspect of them in the photo, like glasses or hair style.
