Flickering & static

Hello All! I'm just opening this discussion to see if anyone else has similar experiences with visualisation.

(Useful info, I have: ADHD, M.E/Brain-fog)

I have a hard time controling what my brain/minds eye does. This leads to sleepless nights of mental disturbances and also loud auditory/visual static when trying to focus on things.

I found it hard to answer the questions in the quiz, as the images In my mind were always changing/morphing OR (more commonly) the images would be really visually striking… But they would flash in and out of my mind in small bursts, and it would take a lot of energy to hold onto them, like a visually impaired person having to lift an incredibly heavy photo frame up to their face to see what was actually on it, the image getting fuzzier as they struggle to hold it up and it drops away. So I couldn't give proper answers.

I’m not an expert in any form, but hyperphantasia is when people can hyper-visualize with extreme detail. Perhaps your mind jumps between the two? Really interesting to someone who doesn’t experience it, but sounds frustrating to you who does experience it.
