Self-Help and Visualization

For many years I have been frustrated by my inability to use visualization for 'self-help.' Many programs, such as NLP, are based on visualization skills. I've always just assumed that I need to practice my visualization skills more/harder. Recently, I heard about Aphantasia and now I understand…

My question to the group is: Has anyone developed a method around visualization so that these various self improvement programs can be utilized? Actually, the question should probably be: How do any of you work around this seeming roadblock?
