I’m an historian of art and culture, interested in relationships between modernity, artistic practice and the mind. My research integrates historical methods with the conceptual, critical, and ethnographic. My current focus is on imagining and art-making: how different disciplines have understood the connection, the ideological stakes in the connection, its inflection by neuro-cognitive difference.
