Role Description
The Aphantasia Network is seeking an organized and dynamic Event Coordinator to orchestrate a variety of events aimed at fostering dialogue and sharing knowledge about aphantasia. In this role, you will be the driving force behind scheduling and coordinating events featuring thought leaders, researchers, and influencers. Your efforts will facilitate the presentation of new findings, conduct insightful interviews, and stimulate community discussions, contributing to the global conversation on aphantasia.
Responsibilities
- Identify and book thought leaders, researchers, and influencers to participate in various events, such as webinars, live interviews, panel discussions, and community forums.
- Coordinate with the Multimedia Production Specialist to ensure technical needs for events are met and content is recorded or streamed as required.
- Manage the end-to-end event planning process, including concept development, scheduling, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
- Support with marketing to promote events and maximize attendance and engagement.
- Oversee the creation of event materials, such as schedules, speaker bios, and presentation aids.
- Facilitate communication between speakers, the production team, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless event experience.
- Monitor event success using key metrics and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of trends and best practices in virtual event planning and execution.
- Handle any issues that arise promptly and efficiently to ensure the event runs smoothly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably with a focus on online or hybrid events.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to engage with thought leaders and influencers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficient in using digital communication tools and platforms suitable for hosting virtual events.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
