Four Weird Tricks ( #6 will blow your socks off!)

Sorry for the title but I wanted to grab your attention!
So I just went thru the website and am partially freaked out about this thing that has been part of my 61 yrs on this rock that I'm just now learning about. I hope you can help in some way as I clearly do not know where to start. Here's my weird memory trick:
When I get a text bank code for the my mobile access that's 6 digits, I remember all 6 digits by remembering two.
Example: The digits sent are 537 423. The two numbers I remember are five hundred thirty-seven AND four hundred twenty-three
Is there a name for this? And please don't say stupid…

It's called "chunking".

For whatever reason I can remember numbers of very specific things like bank account and mobile phone carriers but then get confused of several other numbers.

Not that I know of. Nice tip, but this doesn't work for me. Generally speaking, I can remember up to 3 things in my brain's "local memory", so by the time I'm on the second 3-digit number, I've lost the digits of the first.

I'll try to figure something out in my head and it's good until I need to work something out in "another" part of my brain. Once I've figured it out and need to go back to the original problem, it's gone, no idea of what it was. I don't know if this is age (84) or something else.
