Vitreal detachment - request for your experiences.

Vitreal detachment is a common event as one ages, particularly those with myopia (nearsightedness). It usually is associated with visual changes, typically flashing lights.
MY experience with a vitreal detachment was atypical, in that experienced "flashing blackness" rather than a white light. I am curious if others with aphantasia have had a similar experience.
