Hi everyone, I’m Doroteja.
I’m interested in : What was the last completely ordinary thing you photographed and why did you take a picture of it?
I’m at the beginning of a research project and I’d love to see if asking this question takes me somewhere.
If you’re willing to share, I’d be curious to know:
• What makes you take an everyday photograph? Not the big occasions or carefully planned photographs, but the ordinary ones, even something you don’t really know why you photographed.
• Do you usually have a reason for taking it, or do you sometimes take photos without really knowing why?
What do you do with the picture after taking it? Do you keep them? Look at them (when?)? Share them (?) or mostly forget about them?
If you feel comfortable you can share a photo or a screenshot of your camera roll and answer the questions based on the specific photos you took.
You don't need to choose your “best” photographs — ordinary and seemingly unimportant images are actually the most interesting.
There are no right or wrong answers, and you don't need to write anything elaborate. A few words would be very helpful.
If you’re interested in participating, you can reply here or message me at [email protected].
Any photographs or information shared with me will remain private and will not be published or shared without your permission.
Thank you! I’d really love to hear about how other people photograph their everyday lives.
