I am a PhD candidate in philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum, where my research focuses on mental imagery, aphantasia, and alternative cognitive strategies. Previously, I obtained master's degrees in Clinical Psychology and Logic from the University of Groningen and the University of Amsterdam. In my master's thesis, I applied the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein to the phenomenon of aphantasia, and argued that aphantasia should make us rethink the importance attributed to mental images for our cognition.
