Joined about 1 year agoI’m not completely mind sight blind as occasionally I’ll get a flash of something dark and blurry. I’d consider myself as high libido - I’m aroused most mornings independently of external stimuli which peaks around every 3 days. Although I’m predominantly attracted to men I’ve never been particularly aroused by any particular body if the safety needs are met (ie not a stalker, serial killer, creeper or a liar etc) most body types are not unattractive. I don’t need romance to be sexually attracted to someone - just their willingness to be a safe, curious and communicative sexual partner - I don’t know what type of sexual that is lol. I absolutely do not see a fantasy in my mind and do absolutely need a present sexual partner - the absolute worst sexual experience is having sex with a partner who has some fantasy running through their mind - I could have been the worst sexual experience for them and it wouldn’t matter because they had the important (for them) stuff happening elsewhere. I prefer my fantasies in real life, they are many and pretty varied in type - role play
I think this has impacted my romantic and sex life as well. It was a shock to me that partners could even see fantasies in their mind let alone during the act lol. Another one was that people can “plant” themselves into sexually stimulating scenes. Being always PRESENT has both advantages and disadvantages in relationships (particularly so when your significant other is at the opposite end of the scale with hyperphantasia) it can lead to some very big misunderstandings with some integral needs not being understood and met.
