Learning Mandarin with Global Aphantasia

Hey! I've been trying to learn Mandarin recently, and I am struggling because everyone suggests ‘mnemonics’ or ‘memory palaces’. I looked into how people with aphantasia learn it, and found a podcast that was interesting but ultimately suggested the same things using other sensory stimulus. Unfortunately, I am unable to do that. Has anyone had experience or know anyone who has experience with learning Mandarin or other character-based languages with global aphantasia, or has learned with other methods that shouldn't rely on ones ability to conjure up sensory input in ones mind?
