Joined 9 days agoI am retired from a successful career and have always found eye contact uncomfortable even with loved ones. However, after having 2 grandsons diagnosed as autistic I did a little research and came to believe that I am most likely very low on the autism spectrum myself. In fact, I had absolutely no prior knowledge about aphantasia until I started researching autism and when I found out that many autistics also have aphantasia, and what it was, a light bulb went off in my head, but of course I couldn’t see it LOL.
I very rarely remember my dreams but I’ve found that occasionally I can recall snippets of dreams immediately upon waking. But, if I don’t also verbalize what I dreamt immediately I soon lose the memories. I cannot influence any control over my dreams and what I see in my dreams is as if I’m looking at it from my own eyes. In other words I don’t see myself in dreams I just see things happening in front of me.
