Joined 24 days agoIt does explain a lot. I had not talked to anyone about this either until finding this site and sharing what I have been learning with my family. Everyone else in my family can picture things but apparently to varying amounts.
That is a good description, the veil between our consciousness and the rest of the brain. I definitely think in words, file things alphabetically; I can often remember the first first letter of a word I am trying to remember. But, yeah, it's like the picture is there but not there.
Yeah, I think when I was told to visualize I interpreted that to mean imagine. I can imagine walking on a beach because I can remember features of a beach but I can't picture it. Interestingly, I can get a song stuck in my head... brains are fascinating.
