Dustin Grinnell is a Boston-based writer of fiction, essays, and journalism. His sci-fi thriller The Empathy Academy (Atmosphere Press) was named a Distinguished Favorite in the 2023 NYC Big Book Awards. His short story collection The Healing Book (Finishing Line Press) received a 2024 Best Indie Book Award, and his personal essay collection Lost & Found (Peter Lang) was a finalist for Memoir in the 2024 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Dustin holds an MFA in fiction from Lasell University’s Solstice Program and a master’s degree in physiology from Penn State. He’s also the creator and host of the podcast, Curiously.
