I is what I am
On “Have you been able to vividly visualize temporarily?”
No, but I had some serious panic attacks between the age of 30 and 50 and I didn't tell anyone. For some reason, they go away after 50. For me, ninety-nine percent of the time panic attacks happened at night. Some times I would quietly slip out of bed and repeatedly throw cold water on my face inbetween pacing inside the house. Other times I would walk outside usually in the wee hours (3am) and when it was cold out. I don't know what was worst, having the panic attack or being discovered that I was having a panic attack LoL. What kind of delusions were you experiencing? What were the visuals? Were you asleep or awake?
Social media promises dialogue and idea exchange but often devolves into self-promotion and immaturity. What's your take?
On “How old where you when you found out that you had Aphantasia?”
I learn about Aphantasia while doing random online searches for some project I was working, that was around 2014, I was 55 at the time and it stunned me especially after I read about the "counting sheep" example. That was me, I never got the reference just count sheep and you will fall asleep; I thought how does anyone do that? After reading the article I was overwhelmed with a profound sadness about my life which always seems to go sideways and how difficult it is for me to connect socially. I am still affected by that sadness/weirdness to this day.
