I only discovered aphantasia existed about a year ago. Before that, I genuinely thought "visualizing" was just a figure of speech. The irony? I've spent my career as a copywriter and concepter —literally working on concepts I can't picture. But it worked out fine.

Yes, and as I grew older, I countered it by falling asleep with the TV on. Or these days, with a Netflix series. Works like a charm. I've become so well trained that I even fall asleep at the cinema now. :-)
