I can experience hearing a song in my memory (ear-worm) but it's rare and doesn't apply to any other sounds or voices. I can't visualise in pictures or experience a taste or feeling memory. I do however spend a lot of time counting to myself in my head - I'm not sure if it's a reaction to what I subconciously knew was 'missing' - to fill the void?

This is wonderful.  I read an article about Aphantasia some time ago and thought - that's me!  But as I have such vivid dreams, thought then it mustn't be me.  It's been bugging me for a while so I decided to google it today and all of the experiences here mirror what I experience (or don't) so I took the test and yes. I always assumed that the mind's eye thing was a metaphor and when people say 'oh stop talking about food I can smell it and you're making me hungry'  - this one got to me because I love food and would love to experience this!!  I also tried on online exercise once where it asked you to visualise your mother's face and when I couldn't I have to admit to feeling a little upset. I've not really scratched the surface of this website yet but fully intend to.  Thank you
