Diane - I didn't know about aphantasia until I, too, was at an interpreting workshop- and even then I didn't speak up or learn more until TikTok taught me all about it. I was talking with my friend who is a professor at our local ITP here in South Dakota, and he mentioned this article and shared it with me. I was over the moon to learn you are just a stone's throw away across the border! I just spoke with a mentor and interpring colleague of ours who is nearer to you and she said she knew you, which made me thrilled! I was hoping we could be in touch as I am mentoring a current student with aphantasia, and I hope to continue to develop my mentoring program to aid, specifically, those of us on the aphantastic side of the spectrum!
