Joined 2 days agoI have a strange form of anendophasia. I CAN hear words in my head if I wish to. I NEVER do it in order to think. I can decide to hear any familiar voice of I choose to. I can internally create a sentence in the recognizable voice of any person I know. Further, I can hear incredibly detailed music, including individual instruments and tones (I'm a musician and recording engineer.) Despite all this I never experience an inner monologue. And I don't think in dialogue of any kind. If someone says "dog", I can see the word, while I think of fur and barking and loyalty and petting and walking the dog. But I don't ever hear the word dog in my head while I'm thinking. I've never discovered another person with this experience.
