Joined 4 days agonames are sooooo hard for me. my brain doesn't recognize it as a way to identify people so it throws that detail away lol. i have to make a concerted effort to remember names
so, i consider myself to have mild face blindness. if someone changes their hair or puts on glasses i will struggle to recognize them by their face alone (the Clark Kent/Superman effect - yes, i wouldn't recognize Superman is Clark Kent because of his change in appearance) i use style, mannerisms, voice, and a variety of other non-visual clues to recognize people when i worked retail i had to take mental notes about their appearance to be able to find them again.
so, I've known I'm aphantasic for a while. what i didn't know is how different this is compared to the general population. only really digging into it, and I'm 39 so, dreaming. i dream quite vividly, moving colour images. sometimes from my own perspective, sometimes in 3rd person. i rarely remember them. lately i pretty consistently dream of the same thing (its nsfw so i won't go into details lol). i remember having recurring dreams as a kid. sometimes I'll dream of puzzles I've been stuck on, which i solve in the dreamscape and then i can complete them immediately the next time i play.
