I just realized that I most likely have aphantasia. All through schooling I had trouble retaining what I had read which lead to always studying for tests at the last possible time ie: the night beforehand. I most likely learned to read via comic books from 1950’s to 1960’s. Lots of illustration accompanying the texts. My choice in reading materials now tends to be biographical and historical books. I am a photographer and am quite good at spatial articulation when it comes to my professional as a landscape designer. I do not think in a linear fashion but tend to take in a whole view and then break down components. Thank you for your article.
