Pooling 57 samples (43,715 people in 22 languages, none of them clinical), the authors estimate the internal consistency of both versions of the Big Five Inventory, a personality questionnaire: 0.73 to 0.80 across traits for the 44-item original and 0.80 to 0.89 for the 60-item revision, which was higher on every trait. Reliability varied a lot between samples and showed signs of publication bias. Some figures in the report do not agree with each other, so exact values should be used with care.
