As far as not dwelling on this is concerned ,that sounds good advice. Some advice from my late mother was "If you can do nothing to change it ,don’t worry about it " . And I wonder if the use of camera on mobile phones which now seems ever present will help us cope ..

I am similar to you as is your wife to my wife but since we have been married for more than forty years we must have worked our way round these problems . I think my very bad memory is excused now by this discovery as is her habit of repeating what happened years ago particularly when it was unpleasant .
