Almost all topic discussion refers to aphantasia (I’m aphant too), the hypothesis that I want to share with you is if you think this may happen because acquired hyperphantasia leads directly to psychiatric attention.
It seems congenital aphantasia or hiperaphantasia does not mean or lead to any critical life thread or problem, that’s why we know this condition only when we know how others’s mind work. As we grow with our particular condition, our neuronal links adapt at that specific circumstance, and develop our specific skills to master in life.
Nevertheless, if there’s a change in the condition during life, the adaptation to the new imaginary might be challenging and problematic, as the new experience confuses the person about what is reality and what is not.
Could this be a respectful neurodivergent approach to this kind of mental issues? With this definition, could psychosis not be considered as a mental illness? Could this approach help people that is suffering this kind of mental challenge?
